In the last years, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has fundamentally reshaped biomedical research and medical diagnostics. Its advancements have changed our ability to conduct in vivo studies of the human brain, particularly by introducing innovative methods not only for studying how cortical areas are modulated by various stimuli and interact as a network, but also to look at the underlying vascular and microstructural architectures. This burgeoning interest in brain exploration is driving an intense search for novel NMR techniques that can unveil previously obscure aspects of brain function and structure.
This workshop will delve into these cutting-edge developments, covering advances in fMRI, quantitative MRI, microstructural imaging, and other complementary approaches that provide crucial insights into the brain's physiology, structure, and function.
